A few principles I don't compromise on.
Design for change
The only certainty is that requirements will move. I optimise for the second version, not just the first.
Ship to production
Architecture is theory until it runs. I build things that deploy, observe, and recover on their own.
Simple by default
Complexity is a cost paid every day. I add it only where it clearly earns its keep.
