Software Architecture & Engineering

Lukas Steiner

Software Architect

I design systems that stay simple as they scale — and ship them all the way to production.

01 — Approach

Independent software architecture, from the first diagram to the last deploy.

Working through AXIOM MASON LLC, I help founders and teams turn ambitious ideas into dependable software. That means the structural decisions most affect the next two years — data models, service boundaries, and the trade-offs that decide whether a system stays maintainable — and then the hands-on delivery to make them real. Recent work spans real-time audio apps, finance tooling, and cross-platform mobile.

02 — Capabilities

What I do

Systems Architecture

The structure beneath the product: data models, service boundaries, and the trade-offs that keep a system understandable as it grows.

Cloud & Back-end

Serverless and managed infrastructure — Firebase, Google Cloud — that scales without needing a platform team to run it.

Web & Mobile

End-to-end delivery — TypeScript web apps and cross-platform mobile — taken from prototype through to the app stores.

Technical Leadership

Architecture reviews, mentoring, and the hard calls — brought in to raise the bar and de-risk delivery.

03 — How I work

A few principles I don't compromise on.

/ 01

Design for change

The only certainty is that requirements will move. I optimise for the second version, not just the first.

/ 02

Ship to production

Architecture is theory until it runs. I build things that deploy, observe, and recover on their own.

/ 03

Simple by default

Complexity is a cost paid every day. I add it only where it clearly earns its keep.
